The Leichardt is suitable for Snow camping and any cold weather Australia is likely to dish up. It's also very affordable at under $120 for Club Members - making it one of the best value sleeping bags in the country - and our best seller - used by Scouts and School Groups across the nation.
Two thick 125g/m2 layers of Polarfil polyester fill, this sleeping bag is good to -5°C when coupled with an insulating mat. Add an inner sheet for extra warmth and to keep your sleeping bag clean.
The shell is a lightweight polyester microfibre, ripstop on the outside, soft peach finish on the insde.
Drawcord hood and neck baffle inside, with a small internal pocket for valuables. It has a velcro closed pocket under the hood for you to stuff your fleece jacket into to use as a pillow.
One single full length SBS nylon zipper - you can completely open out the bag to use as a quilt. Only comes in left hand zipper, we do not sell left and rights in this model. But you can zip two bags together, one on top of the other (let your partner sleep on the side with the hood on top :)

Snowgum uses synthetic fillings that have been created to emulate the air trapping characteristics of down.
Our synthetic fillings are made from Polarfil® polyester hollow fibre about the size of a strand of hair and have seven hollow channels in them. These are too small for the naked eye to see but they are very effective at trapping warm air and thus keeping your body warm. The fibres loft well (fluff up when removed from the stuff sack). There are two separate layers of Polarfil® on the top and the bottom of the bag. The stitching on each layer therefore doesn't go all the way through which makes this bag much warmer than many other synthetic bags on the market.
Synthetic bags are not as warm as down bags for the same weight of filling but they do maintain their warmth when wet, and dry quickly - this is a significant advantage over down. They are also much less expensive.

Care:
To ensure a long life and prolonged warmth of your sleeping bag, please follow these care instructions.
1. For long term storage use a large open weave sack.
2. Wash by hand with a soft soap or by machine on very low heat and gentle cycle.
3. Dry clean at low temperatures.
4. Air and fluff the bag prior to use.
5. Use a liner (inner sheet)
6. Always air after use and keep as dry as possible.
