This achievement badge may only be purchased by an Adult Leader or Authorised Unit Representative.

The Landcare Badge is a multi-sectional badge, originally introduced to encourage youth members to participate in local Landcare Projects.

To be eligible for a Landcare Badge, Scouts can take part in any three nationally accredited environment events either supported or run by Landcare Australia. Events include Landcare Week, Coastcare Week, Planet Ark’s Tree Day, Keep Australia Beautiful Week, Clean Up Australia Day and BirdLife Australia’s Aussie Backyard Bird Count.

Alternatively, many Scouts are already members of a Landcare group. All these members need to do is provide evidence of their regular volunteer work.

Whichever option you choose, you need a total of 10 hours service within a 12 month period. For more information, click HERE.

Where is it worn? On the lower right sleeve, below the Achievement Badges. If more than one Special Interest Badge is earned, the badges should form a neat row.
