Introduction to Rover Scouts Badge

This achievement badge may only be purchased by an Adult Leader or Authorised Unit Representative.

Rover Scouts earn this badge during their first few weeks of participating in the Rover Scout program. Throughout this time, they will learn about:

• How the Rover Scout section operates
• What the program looks like, including:
  • How the patrol system works
  • The types of adventures and interests that might be experienced and explored
  • How achievements are recorded and recognised
  • The symbolic framework and what it means
  • The Australian Scout Promise and Law, including how it’s explored in that section
• The Unit Code

This also provides them an opportunity to set some initial goals for their time in the section, share some of their interests and learn how these fit with their peers and the Rover Scout program.
