Scouts Australia Tied in Friendship, United in Hope Support Scouts in Myanmar and Thailand

On March 28, 2025, devastating earthquakes struck Myanmar and Thailand, causing widespread damage and hardship including to local Scout Groups. Many lost access to their Halls, equipment and programs that provide vital support and connection for young people.
In response, the World Organisation of the Scout Movement (WOSM) issued a global appeal, calling on Scouts around the world to help our friends in need.
This badge is not for uniform wear, but it has been created as a way for Scouts and supporters in Australia to contribute. Featuring the scarves of Scouts Australia, Myanmar and Thailand tied in friendship, it represents unity, compassion and hope. By purchasing this badge, you’re showing solidarity and helping raise funds that will go directly to support the recovery and rebuilding of Scouting in Myanmar and Thailand. 

Scouts Australia are encouraging Group purchases for maximum fundraising, awareness and involvement.

** Funds raised will be distributed by World Scouts / Asia Pacific Region to ensure they go directly to Scouting in the Region and not via any other Government or Non-Government channel.
