Centenary Of The Wood Badge
In 2019 Scouting celebrates 100 years since the very first formal leader 'wood badge' training course was conducted at Gilwell Park, just outside London, in 1919.
To celebrate the centenary of this first wood badge training course we have produced this special badge which may be worn by all adult Leaders in Scouting - even those who have not yet attained their wood badge but are working their way towards it.
This high definition 10 colour woven badge features the unique Scouting MacLaren tartan reproduced identically to the tartan on the official training scarf, the wood beads and the new Australian Scout Logo - the first badge available on ScoutShop.com.au to incorporate the new logo.
It may be worn on the uniform on the right chest throughout 2019 in the position reserved for 'event badge' (note only one badge should be worn in this position at any one time)
